Liebster Award 2018 and Little Announcement

I dearly love this blogger award! I was tagged with it in halves last year, and I'm super stoked to do it in it's entirety this round!!
I was tagged by a relatively new blogging acquaintance of mine, Riley Anne - her post is HERE. I highly encourage y'all to go and visit her little blogging corner!!
And now, to the main event...

The 11 facts
1. I can't stand cities. Too many people, especially suspicious characters. *shudders*
2. My favorite breed of dog is a golden retriever.
3. According to Spotify, I listen to Celtic music the most.
4. I prefer headphones to earphones.
5. My favorite brand of car is Buick.
6. I love sweet peppers.
7. I don't like beans - they are too gritty for my tastes. (Sorry Lia...)
8. I'm a daylight driver, instead of a nighttime driver.
9. I love to stargaze.
10. My favorite decorating style is rustic/country/traditional.
11. I'm a rebel by heart - always have, always will.

Good heavens. Hang on a minute.....*ruffles through old blogging files*

- Writing (blog, stories, etc.)

- Playing Match-3 games (Gardenscapes and Homescapes are my two games of choice right now)
- Photography (which is on hold until I get a new camera....)

And yes, I totally had a list handy dandy for this occasion...LOL.
2. Favorite part of blogging?
Can I say everything?
I dearly love the comments, and look forward to receiving them every time I post something.
I love collaborating with other bloggers. And reading lots and lots of blog posts by other awesome bloggers.
The only thing I don't like is that it takes a while for me to write a decent post (2-3 days on average).
3. Favorite quote?
"A good book tells the truth about its hero; but a bad book tells the truth about its author" ~ G.K. Chesterton.
I'm pretty sure I've said this quote somewhere else...probably in connection to RW....but it definitely resonates with me still.
4. Tea, Coffee, or other?
TEA!!! Berry-flavored teas are my favorite. I will drink the occasional cup of cocoa, but never coffee. *makes face*
5. Favorite subject?
Favorite subject in what??
Books? Movies? Documentaries? School (which technically doesn't apply anymore)? Conversation? Or in general?
I'm going to guess that it's "in general" so, I'll choose history. Any conversation/book/movie/documentary that has the subject of history, I'm interested in. It was also my favorite subject in school :).
6. Favorite day of the week?
Saturday.
That's usually when my family either goes somewhere fun or we get a lot of work done around the house. Two things that I love doing and we don't do enough of. *sigh*
7. Favorite band?
Oooohhh. Hard question, considering I tend to listen to more vocal groups instead of bands.
I'll go with Gaelic Storm. I don't like every single song that they do, but I like a lot of them.
8. Introvert or Extrovert?
Introvert. By far.
Now, that is not to say that I can't be bubbly or happy, or be extroverted occasionally. Or that I can't talk your ear off about various subjects that I'm passionate about.
I do, however, need my peace and quiet for a few hours a day. Otherwise, I get cranky or I crash (both have happened).
9. Warm or Cool weather?
WARM.
I'm a summer person....and am waiting impatiently for the warm sun to come back.
Being cold is about as appealing as eating snails to me.
10. Favorite place you’ve visited?
Oh gracious....*mentally flies through all the hundreds of places I've been*
That would be Hilton Head Island, SC. I can never get enough of that place.
11. Biggest goal for the year?
Ummm.....
In my personal life - that would probably be getting a job. *looks anxiously at end date of grace period for student loans*
In my writerly life - that would be actually finishing one WIP that is currently in my WIP page. Sounds like a vast goal right now....

Delete'Being cold is about as appealing as eating snails for me." AMEN. It has snowed here everyday except one this past week (snowing right now, in fact, with no sign of stopping) and it's just piling up around us; I am tired of all the cold! Anxiously awaiting summer.
