Hello all!!
It's be a fair bit since I posted last!
I have a valid excuse...actually a couple of valid excuses. One being RW business - things have been hopping over there!
Speaking of hopping....the biggest reason I haven't been blogging lately is that the Muse has been at it again.....I've got ANOTHER WIP.
I officially have a problem. I swear, you guys are probably so confused, I'm so sorry.....WHY CAN'T MY MUSE BE AN ORDINARY MUSE????? *pounds head into desk and cries*

In lieu of the fact that my muse is still sore from the last word marathon (2003 words!!), and the fact that my Tags-To-Do list has grown again mysteriously, I've decided to a "squishing" (to borrow a word from Lia) of a lot of little tags!!

I'm going to follow Belle's example and break the rules on this one. Because ain't nobody got time to hunt up quotes and nominate three bloggers everyday for three days. Nobody. *nods sagely*

The Seven Previously Unknown Facts about Catherine:
Fact #1: I don't like doing the dishes.
Fact #2: I'm a supporter of the Second Amendment, and of concealed carry. (Hope to get mine soon!)
Fact #3: I love horses. I've both ridden and driven horses, and honestly I like doing both. My favorite color horse is black...like the one in my sidebar <3
Fact #4: I love dairy products. By that I mean I love cheese, yogurt and ice cream. Milk on the other hand....doesn't agree with me for some strange and obscure reason.
Fact #5: I don't wear makeup. Even though I have acne, I don't wear it unless it's a formal occasion. A. I want people to love me for me and not because I have any physical beauty and B. I either scratch or sweat it off. YICK.
Fact #6: I'm a modest dresser. I wear mostly skirts - all of which are knee-length or longer, usually paired with t-shirt, hoodie and tights. I also like wearing boots :).
Fact #7: I'm claustrophobic. I can't stand feeling trapped or caged. It gives me panic attacks. Literally. Not joking. Found this out the hard way.

This hobbit is famous for his roast rabbit...and I will certainly give him more appreciation that that rotten stinker Gollum gave him for it. I love campfire-roasted food *smacks lips* and Sam, being a true hobbit, will also make sure we don't run out of food.
Oh yes, those are very necessary for this meal. Good call, Sam!!

After all, a man with £10,000 a year surely has enough money to fund a dinner party! (Elizabeth can tag along, someone has to make him agreeable. LOL.)

Has anyone here read The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare??
Well, Courting Cate is a retelling of that play, set in Lancaster PA. It's definitely one of my favorite Amish fiction pieces. And Cate, as you can guess is "the Shrew".
She would be absolute fun at this party. And I'd love to have a long conversation with her about a certain Amish character of mine....

If I could invite half of the town of Clear Creek, Oregon, I would....

Liz is definitely my favorite nerdy character, and the scrapes that she gets into are absolutely hysterical. She can definitely keep the conversation light and amusing with her stories!

Gosh darn it, I love this guy. I want him to tell me all the adventures that we had to miss because Pippa misbehaved and had to stay at the castle. Seriously, when you go and bargain with a dragon and risk live and limb trying to find items for a scavenger hunt to help a knight win a tournament so she doesn't marry a jerk even though you want to marry her yourself....*gasps for breath and melts*

(but seriously, if you love knightly tournaments, adventure-loving princesses, and scheming princes, GO READ THIS BOOK. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL....gah. Review to follow on Goodreads...after I finish re-reading (yes, that is re-reading) it.)
One underappreciated character.
Marcia Schuyler from Marcia Schuyler.
Okay, I do have some issues with Marcia Schuyler by Grace Livingston Hill. I swear, hardly anyone was in their right mind in this book. Mrs. Schuyler and David especially. (Like seriously, he needed mental health counseling or something).
And the plot was just odd. Like tossing a 14-16 year old (I'm not certain exactly what her age was, but she was still going to school, so....) into marriage to save the face of her family and her bridegroom. When in reality, they should have owned up, called off the wedding, or something more sensible.
That being said...Marcia is one of my favorite book characters ever.
She may have been a bit rash taking her sister's place as the bride...but I LOVED her heroic sacrificial womanly self. You wouldn't believe that she was as young as she was by how she acted when she was married.

Ellie Sweet from The Revised Life of Ellie Sweet.

She's the character that introduced me to the wide world of YA publishing. It was so abstract before! This book made me realize that it was possible, and that I could possibly make it.
Besides, I want to know how she and Chase are doing....
