Greetings from the cave!
Is it just me or did June just FLY? Now that everything has been opening back up, the speed of life has been ridiculously increased. Not sure I like this particular phenomenon.
This month....so much has happened, I don't know where to start....
Actually, maybe I do....
1. Shattered Chandelier is completed, at long last! It took much more than I had intended and I think I went off-script a little too much, but I did it! You can check it out on Wattpad HERE. I'd appreciate any feedback!
2. TWR is safely back from the Beta Boarding School, with much more baggage than she did going in. How her room fits it all, I literally have not a clue. She will be heading towards another rigours round of edits this July....which are being fast-tracked, yet again! Only by a week or so this time, however. Since I've gotten nearly all the beta feedback, I've been prioritizing what needs to be changed in the next draft and going from there. Reason being....there may be an editor interested in taking it on??? *screams*
3. Speaking of TWR....she has a new mock cover :). Feast your eyes on this gloriously inadequate photoshop job I did.
4. An old WIP got rechristened. Now that the Epics of Verden has become a series, I noticed with some alarm that From The Cave simply didn't fit the theme of "The Color Motif" title style that I had in the other four story ideas. Therefore, my upcoming NaNo novel is now known as The Midnight Cave....or until I find some other poetical synonym for black or dark. Doesn't seem to be too many of those around, I noticed.
5. MY SIS IS GETTING HER POETRY COLLECTION PUBLISHED. Check out The Singing Writer for more info.
6. I finally broke down and got the Kindle PC app. The awkward thing is that most of my Kindle Library is synched to my mom's account, not mine. Therefore, I need to find out how to transfer them over....oh well, I have new books to read, that's all that matters.
7. Have been binging Bondi Vet for a couple of weeks on YouTube, ever since I discovered they have most of their full episodes on there. I seem to be a sucker for these types of shows....I think we need to blame James Herriot for it.
For The Rebelling Muse, I wrote 1 post: Characters in QT Tag, featuring The White Rose Cast! Future content includes several tags, a review of the TV series The Chosen, character interviews for The White Rose, and much more!
For The Cat in the Barnyard, I wrote no posts. Let me know what topics you would like to see on this blog!
For Rebellious Writing, I wrote no posts.
For Maidens for Mary, I wrote no posts.
Goal #1 (TWR): She has been returned safely from the betas, and there are lots of plans to get her edited again by the end of July. The amount of feedback is a wee bit overwhelming but every bit so important!
Goal #2 (Platform): I have made some headway in finding editors, and the branding stuff is still in progress. If TWR heads towards publication, much work will be accelerated.
Goal #3 (April NaNo): FINISHED. You can view the completed story on Wattpad HERE.
Goal #4 (NaNo): It got rechristened! It's now known as The Midnight Cave.
Goal #5 (Movies): No progress.
Goal #6 (Library): No progress. Unfortunately, my state is STILL on partial lockdown due to the you-know-what, so no trips for me......
Goal #7 (Vlogs): FINISHED. You can view the Fandoms one HERE and the Bucket List one HERE.
Your turn to talk! How has your June been going? What progress have you been making on your WIPs?
Scribbingly yours,
Catherine
